Berlin Decide Against Brazilian
December 18th 2008 06:57
Hertha Berlin have decided not to pursue their interest in Brazilian defender Junior Cesar.
The Bundesliga club today announced that it will not proceed with a signing "after careful consideration of all sporting and financial aspects," according to a press release.
The 26-year-old had been high up on Berlin's wish-list this winter and general manager Dieter Hoeness had recently been to Brazil to see the left full-back in action for his current club Fluminense.
It is believed that coach Lucien Favre has vetoed the deal after seeing video footage of the player.
